Phil’s focus is building on the momentum and accomplishments of our sales team, while identifying, creating, and leading strategic initiatives that drive increased cross business unit collaboration, sales, profitability, and growth. Phil also leads our strategic and innovative initiatives surrounding precision ag and carbon and sustainability, including vendor and customer data integration and business intelligence solutions.

Phil attended the University of Nebraska, Iowa State University, and University of Iowa, earning his Bachelors, Masters, and Master of Business Administration degrees. He entered the cooperative system as a Senior Sales Agronomist at the Sully Co-op (now Key Cooperative) in Newton, IA, and served in strategic roles with Land O’Lakes, Cargill, and Cooperative Producers, Inc., including assisting Land O’Lakes with setting up the seed answer plot system west of the Mississippi. Throughout his career, Phil has helped identify, develop, and implement new systems and solutions while providing critical education and training throughout the United States. Recently, Phil served as CEO and General Manager of Pearl City Elevator overseeing significant business growth and success.

Phil and his wife, Christine, are proud parents of three children. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family, attending his kids’ activities, boating, golfing, hunting, fishing, and is an avid football fan.
