Tom Stehr is the Vice President of Bulk Commodities and Risk Compliance. In his role, Tom is responsible for overseeing all aspects of commodity positions for ALCIVIA. In addition, he leads ALCIVIA’s risk compliance by monitoring, assessing, and managing internal risk related to ALCIVIA’s commodity purchases in agronomy, animal nutrition, energy, and grain. Tom brings decades of experience in the feed and grain industry, with an extensive leadership background and deep expertise in futures hedging, price risk management, basis trading, and ingredient procurement and sales. Prior experience in the cooperative system includes time on the central hedge desk, cross-country trading, and being a licensed Series 3 broker handling commercial accounts.
Tom has a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He and his wife Marcia have three children and enjoy taking family vacations together and spending time at their cabin in northern Wisconsin.
