Scholarships

To encourage academic, professional, and leadership development among post-secondary students, ALCIVIA awards 25 scholarships of $1,000 each, to students pursuing a two- or four-year degree, agriculture short course students, and/or high school seniors each year. All active ALCIVIA members, employees, and their children are eligible to apply.
We have awarded more than 950 scholarships totaling more than $500,000 to students since 1989. Building a strong future for agriculture helps ensure a strong future for our members, our communities, and the world.

Our 2025 scholarship application period has closed. 2026 applications will be posted in November.

  • ENDING HUNGER

ALCIVIA supports the efforts of local food pantries and other organizations to end hunger in the communities across our trade territory. Over the past decade, we’ve partnered with food banks like Second Harvest to provide more than 322,000 meals to local food pantries. ALCIVIA employees have volunteered during their busy holiday season sorting food and prepping deliveries. We’re also pleased to provide funding to local summer and weekend ‘backpack’ programs where kids receive food to take home for the weekend or get lunch during the summer in a local park.

  • FAIR PARTICIPATION

ALCIVIA provides a $100 participation award for small livestock (rabbits, chickens, turkeys) and $150 participation award for large livestock (beef, dairy, hogs, sheep, goats, horses) to any youth participant that showed an animal at a local fair and whose family is a member of our cooperative. Since we started the program in 2018, we’ve supported more than 2,300 fair projects totaling over $250,000 back to the youth. 2025 applications are closed; applications will open up again in July 2026. • PROMOTING A ‘SAFETY FIRST’ CULTURE

ALCIVIA prides itself on fostering a safe working environment that expands into the communities we serve. Ongoing efforts will be made to support local safety organizations such as police, fire departments, EMS responders, and others to keep our communities safe.

  • PROMOTING AGRICULTURE AND RURAL YOUTH LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

ALCIVIA provides support to those members, communities, and organizations that seek to promote a positive image of the agricultural industry, promote youth leadership development and ag education, including FFA, 4-H and Ag in the Classroom, dairy breakfasts, county fairs and farm tours.
